SJS High School does promote a community of inquiry that values a collaborative, creative, interdisciplinary, well-rounded approach to student-centered learning that responds to the technology rich needs with innovative, research-based strategy. In so doing, the school shall advance a regionally and nationally recognized college preparatory program in which growth is defined by learning, and where all members of the community are dedicated to continuous improvement.

For success in the new creative economy and society, our students graduate with new abilities, or “creative capacities,” in addition to what schools have traditionally provided. Students have interdisciplinary in the way they learn and act; engage and be comfortable with complex systems and issues; and navigate a shifting career landscape. They are technically savvy and capable with social media, and increasingly aware that collaboration is necessary to their success. Their success may be defined by how well they can integrate ideas, think across domains, and draw from varying expertise and perspectives.
